Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by one of my experienced guides / drivers and they will take you to Arusha where you will be staying at Venice hotel. The guides will give you a brief introduction about the safari the next day.

Accomodation:

  • Venice Hotel - Arusha by (BB)
The guides will pick you up from Venice hotel and drive you to a very special national park. Tarangire is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The park is especially known for Baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent) that fill the landscape. The park's river is full of wildlife, ranging from everything to birds, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and, of course, elephants. In fact, the park has the largest population of elephants in the entire country and offers unique chances to observe the interaction between the different elephant families. The lunch area is fascinating, consisting of an observatory with stunning views of the river and wildlife (with good chances of watching a hunt while having your picnic). In the afternoon you will continue the game drive before heading to Karatu overnight.

Accomodation:

  • Panorama public campsite | Migombani public campsite (FB)
Ngorongoro Crater is considered one of the wonders of nature. The Ngorongoro crater stretches on 8,292 km2 and  has 609.6 meter high walls, and inhabits almost all species of wildlife that are originally from East Africa. It is one of the very rare places on the entire continent where you can see the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a lake of soda, flamingos, forest and open plains. The crater is also famous for its elephants, which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. The Ngorongoro crater is truly a wonder of the natural world. You start the day very early and head down to the bottom of the crater, where you will experience an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most amazing places on Earth. After a fantastic afternoon game drive, you will come back up from the crater and you will be driven to Arusha, where you will spend the night at Ngorongoro Sim Public Campsite for the night.

Accomodation:

  • Ngorongoro Simba Public Camping (FB)

Trekking Empakai crater

You will explore the volcanic ash highlands of Empakai Crater with its dramatic crater rim and its deep Soda Lake crater floor. Empakaai crater is 300 meters in height and more than six kilometers in width. In the center is Lake Empakaai, an 85-meter-deep alkaline pool that consists of three-quarters of the crater's floor. Standing by the impressive rims of Empakai Crater, you'll see landmarks such as the snow on Kilimanjaro far on the eastern side of the valley, the Great Rift Valley and Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. While admiring the glorious sights, you're sure to see an abundance of animals, including blue monkeys, buffalo, antelopes and an extensive array of kaleidoscopic birdlife. You will have an afternoon drive to the Serengeti Seronera area for your overnight stay

Visit Olduvai Gorge

Immerse yourselves in ancient history at the fascinating paleo-anthropological site of Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important in the world. It's nestled between Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, making it a great stop if traveling between the two, rewarding visitors with a presentation on its history, an excellent new museum, and stunningly beautiful views. You will have an overnight stay in central Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, l will drive towards the most famous national park in the world, the Serengeti. This will be an unforgettable moment for all of you. When you reach the Serengeti, you will see why the name in local language means "infinite plains". The park covers 18,000 square kilometers, and the plains stretch out to the horizon and will challenge your senses and perception of distances. It is home to the great migration of various animals and up to 2 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras and all kinds of antelopes. As for big cats and big predators, it is the place to look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas with many TV scenes like the famous river crossing has been filmed in this park.

You will leave the camp after a hot brunch to explore the northern Serengeti corridor (Lobo and Kogatende Areas) as you head towards Lake Natron. There are mountains where vultures soar and babons bark, dusty gorges where the Maasai bring their cattle to get something to drink, and endless grassy plains. You will arrive at Lake Natron in the evening at approximately 4:30 pm, get something to drink (coffee), while will get trek orientation. After the briefing, you will rest in the camp while a chef prepares dinner. After dinner you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in the camp and at 22:00 you will start hiking; This usually takes 6-7 hours. After you will have seen the sunrise, start descending around 9 am. The jeep will be waiting for you at the base of the mountain to take you back to the camp to relax.

After brunch and rest time, you will enjoy the spectacular ride in the soda lake Natron, and watch the beautiful waterfall flow from the highlands towards the direction of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lake Natron is located in a beautiful scenic area below the Rift Valley plating. Lake Baking soda has a high concentration of sodium, which means that the water is often viscous to the touch. It is a great place to be on safari and birding in this rugged landscape with dry land species such as gerenuk, lesser kudu and Oryx. Baking soda is also the only known breeding ground for East Africa's millions of smaller flamingos, which cover the lake between August and October. You will drive to Arusha overnight.

Your driver will pick you up from Arusha hotel early in the morning for the one-hour drive to Chemka Hot Springs. The road is very bumpy and windy, so hold on! Don't forget to enjoy during the tour, the wonderful scenery and authentic Tanzanian life as it unfolds along the way. After arrival, there is free opportunity for relaxation and whatever else is of interest to you. You can sit at the edge of the springs and look at the lush greenery of the surrounding forest. Take a leisurely swim (don't forget that the water is very warm, so you won't feel like an Olympic sprint), listen to the running water and the birds. The pond can be very deep, in some places up to 10 meters, but the water is so clear that you can see the bottom. Eat your lunch in the shade of the trees or, if you are into sun, you can find a hot spot. You'll have plenty of time to spot the wildlife that also enjoys Chemka Hot Springs. In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha and stay overnight.

The Kinumakori waterfall in Marangu is not the highest, but is a beautiful walk that allows you to see the waterfall both from the bottom and top. At the waterfall, you can relax among the calm nature and swim in the cool water. The waterfall is located near the village of Marangu, which is a typical village of the Chagga people, about 1800 m above sea level. In the village you will visit the cultural center Chagga. You will also visit caves where the Chagga people hid during the war. In the village you will also see the traditional Chagga houses and visit a coffee farmer's family. Together with a guide, they will explain to you, step by step, how to prepare coffee - from picking ripe coffee berries to a nice hot cup of coffee.
